Privacy policy
Last updated: October 5, 2026
PodPilot is a desktop application that connects your Printify and Shopify accounts to automate the creation of print-on-demand products. This policy explains what we handle and what we don't.
What stays on your computer
- Your design files, mockups and exports.
- The list of your designs and their status.
- The access keys that let PodPilot talk to your Printify and Shopify accounts, stored encrypted by your operating system.
These are not sent to PodPilot servers.
What we receive
When you click “Connect”, Printify or Shopify asks you to approve the connection. A small PodPilot service then exchanges the temporary authorization code for an access key and passes it straight to your computer. It is not kept on our side. In the course of this exchange we may briefly process:
- your shop identifier (for example, your Shopify domain);
- technical logs (date, status of the request) kept for security and troubleshooting, for no longer than 30 days.
If you write to us, we keep your email address and message to answer you.
Data we do not collect
- We do not read, store or share your customers' personal information (names, addresses, orders).
- We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
What PodPilot does in your accounts
With your approval, PodPilot reads your Printify shop and products, creates and updates products from your designs, and creates product listings, as drafts, in your Shopify store, including their images. It acts only when a design is added or when you ask it to.
Sharing
We share data only with Printify and Shopify, as needed to perform what you asked. We use a hosting provider for the connection service, which processes data only on our behalf.
Your choices and rights
- You can disconnect Printify or Shopify at any time from PodPilot, or by removing the app from your Shopify admin or Printify account.
- You can ask us to delete any data we hold about you by writing to the address below.
- Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have additional rights of access, correction and deletion. We honour them.
Security
Keys are encrypted on your device and connections use HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we hold so there is little to lose.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or by email.
